Mission

The key is in the track.

A major bottleneck for high-speed rail in America is track construction itself. It's slow, expensive, and hard to scale. Standard Railroad is focused on that problem.

Why track is the bottleneck

Conventional ballasted track is labor-intensive to install and costly to maintain at high speeds. Building a national network with those methods takes decades per corridor.

What prefab slab changes

Prefab slab track is a concrete trackbed manufactured in a factory, shipped to site, and assembled with higher speed and precision than traditional ballasted construction. It is widely used for newer high-speed lines in Asia and Europe.

What we're engineering

Standard Railroad is building the domestic engineering and manufacturing capability to deploy prefab slab track construction in the United States.
