Every station anchors a neighborhood: mid-rise homes, ground-floor shops, streets built for walking. A ten-minute walk from the platform holds more life than a square mile of sprawl.
Density is the product
Mid-rise blocks of four to eight stories, built from repeatable designs the way the track is. Housing gets cheap the same way rail does: standardize, manufacture, repeat.
Why the pillars only work together
Transit without density has no riders. Density without transit drowns in traffic. Station-area housing gives the line its ridership and the region its homes, and the land value it creates helps pay for the next line.
